Daily sessions

.

As part of the 15 hours entitlement Windham Nursery School offers two separate daily sessions with places for 39 children to attend each session. Session times are:

8.30am - 11.30am The morning session in the 2 year old and 3 year old provision starts.
Morning children go home unless staying for lunch, this is only for the 3 year old provision. Children from the 2 year old provision do not currently attend Rocking Horse Club.
11.30am – 12.45pm Lunch club (Rocking Horse Club) sessions for some AM and PM children. (Each session costs £11 per child per day.)
12.45pm - 3.45pm The afternoon session in the 2 year old and 3 year old provision starts.
Afternoon children go home and are collected promptly.

3.45 All Nursery education and care finishes. It is vital that all children have been collected on time

Staff are expected to attend meetings, prepare resources, plan for the next day and record keep.

Five days a week

Both sessions offer high quality nursery provision, with a minimum staffing level of one key worker to 13 children.

The Jigsaw Provision - Jigsaw is open for morning and afternoon sessions Monday to Friday 8.30am–11.30am and 12.45pm – 3.45pm. The 15 hour entitlement is offered through providing one free lunch club session per week once the children are ready and if parents request it.

Windham is an inclusive nursery and we aim to meet every child’s individual needs regardless of ability, race, religion or gender.

Please note that due to safeguarding and health and safety practices, the full 15 hour entitlement is not available until all children are happily settled in. This is usually by the first week in October.

We believe high quality Nursery Provision is only possible through regular daily attendance. Your child will be offered either 5 mornings sessions or 5 afternoon sessions.
