Please let us know when there is a change to the usual collection arrangements by informing a member of staff or writing in 'the book' when you drop off your child.

If the change to the usual arrangement is unexpected, parents are asked to telephone the school or to send a signed permission note with the adult who is collecting.

Please note: we operate a first day of absence policy - if your child is ill and you do not phone the school, we will phone you.

Holidays in term time

The staff and Governors at Windham believe that a place at Windham Nursery School should be highly valued. Due to the fact that every place is paid for by the ‘public purse’, we do not encourage holidays being taken in term time.

However, we understand that nursery education is non-statutory in terms of attendance. We ask all parents and carers to respect the place their child has at our nursery and to keep term time holidays to a minimum. We will not agree family holidays in term time.

The school requires two weeks written notice of any term time holidays.
