30 hours provision

At Windham Nursery we currently have 13 children who attend for the full session from 8.30am- 3.45pm.

Parents who are eligible for 30 hours (15 additional hours of care) as well as parents who wish to pay for additional hours care can apply for a full time place for their child. For more information talk to the office team.

In addition to the Three Year Old classroom and outdoor space Owl group have a designated room within the nursery where they have time to play and learn with a small group of friends each day.


A typical day for children in Owl group is as follows:

8.30-8.45am Arrive

8.45- 10.45am Play – free flow inside and out.

10.45 -10.50 Tidy up

10.50- 11am Gathering time

11.-11.25 Story group in Owl room

11.30 – 12.45pm Go to Rocking Horse Club for lunch.

12.45 -1pm Quiet activities in Owl room

1pm – 2.50pm Join peers in 3YO class to play inside and out

2.55-3pm Tidy up

3pm- 3.10pm Gathering time/singing

3.10.-3.35pm Story group in Owl room

3.35 – 3.45pm Time to go home.


The children in the nursery class have the opportunity to participate in a variety of physical and relaxation activities and real life experiences. Owl group have enjoyed doing yoga, parachute games, soft play/ball room and sensory room, exploring nature through forest school activities, cooking, trips to places in the local community such as shops, the park, Pensford field.
